The employment relationship... There are few areas of life more necessary, more regulated and more fraught with misconception than the employment relationship. The employment relationship today defines people in our society, from the newest employee to the highest CEO, from the most desperate job seeker to the most successful business person. In short, the laws that control the employment relationship are amongst the most important and influential laws in our country; very few people or businesses are insulated from the reach of state and federal employment laws. Despite this reality, few people, fewer businesses, and still fewer lawyers truly understand the immense tangle of laws that govern the employment relationship. I have spent my 16+ year legal career practicing almost exclusively around the employment relationship. Today, I focus on three important aspects of the employment relationship: Employment law, EEO/Affirmative Action compliance, and disability/veterans law.
